But when she just saw me like this in my new bed

she had to take a snap.

Here you can see my bed in whole

and here I take a little rest with my frontlegs

like a cat.

I know that Hexe likes to have hers like this.

Don't think it's very comfortable.

She said it is lilac today.

And as she just bought some fresh Tulips in a

strange colour, she made some pix

of them.

She said they look special and

that they can participate.

Hello again!

I finally could persuade mum to

write a new post -

after one year!

Mum and I moved back to dad.

As he is very, very sick with cancer,

mum said, it is necessary.

I am very happy that my pack is complete again!

Although I hardly see my Susie now;

we live about 50 km apart now.

For Christmas I got a new bed;

I like it very much, although it made funny noises first.

We already had some snow, but not for Christmas!

We also have a new carpet which I like a lot!

Today I could persuade mum to finally post in my blog again - she neglected it.

I can't post alone - my paws are too big!

Here you can see me on the roof, while mum was cleaning, I wandered around.

Today mum and I were lucky! It was the first time since long that we have been at the large sandpit again. One side is working area and the other is for recreation, with a forest and even a beach. Here you see me at the sorta beach. It is not allowed anymore for doggies to run free; I would have so much love to.....tried to persuade mum, but she did not leave me off the lead. Anyway, it was bright sunshine and we enjoyed it; only the wind was harsh and icy. As soon as we were back home the storm started full off and heavy rains, too. So we were very lucky; otherwise we would have been totally soaked. In some places near it snowed last night, but it did not stay....have a nice time!!!

A warm Day!

Today was a lovely warm late summer day! We have been busy! That means, actually mum was busy: she took the chance and washed my bed, Hexe's bed, our carpets (Hexe and I love them, so they became hairy and a bit dirty, too...) and many other things that needed to be cleaned. All doors and windows are open and that is just lovely. Probably this was the last fine day as for tomorrow we expect finally real Fall with nasty weather, the weatherman said!

As you can see, mum was busy in another way and started off with christmassy decos, too! Can you see me?

Today is the officially last day of Summer 2010! Can you believe it how fast time runs? The passed few days it was nasty stormy and rainy outside, but today it is really late summer - beautiful! Sunny, but not too warm! Mum and I we both love that and so we made a long walkie after we have been to the market and I got a pound of tripe. On our ways we see many people in the forests looking for mushrooms. But of course they never take toadstools; see this lovely big one next to me. It is said, where toadstools grow, Boletus are never far.

We don't go out for picking mushrooms as mum don't knows anything about which one is toxic and which one is eatable...

This is James! He can purr as a cat and is very friendly. He has hardly a nose and his breathing is difficult, his teeth are crisscross and he is 7 years old! He is very special.... .♥⊱╮

Mum and I have just been around the lake. We were followed by the terrier gang. They belong to the restaurant on one side of the lake, but they also stay at the kiosk on the other side. So they followed us all the way. They are 4, but only 3 came along. One was constantly barking, but they are very nice and funny! I like Terriers, all kinds.... .♥⊱╮

Again it has been a bit quiet inhere, but the heat recently made us very lazy! Now it is already my 110. post and I hope you still like to follow! Sunday I visited Dad and I was very happy! He is doing really fine and his fur is back, at least on his head; some are black and some are white - he looks like Leo now, my pepper-and-salt Schnauzer buddy...

Mum was invited to Berlin and I should be in a pet hotel for a few days. I went crazy! I didn't allow anybody to touch me....in the end mum and I drove home again and I was happy. Mum said, next time I will come with her to Berlin again. She knows that I like it there. Sometimes big cities are very intresting with all these tons of new smells....

This small Lab Pup likes to soak up some warmth...

...but not me! After a good run in doggy park I wanted to stay in this hole. Later I found this huge cave that some other doggy has digged. It is nice and cool inthere. Mum said it is like the homes of the Opal Miners in Australia! I can stand and turn in this cave; some dogs are really masterdiggers...

This tiny Teckel loves it hot - can't believe it - we have again about 100°F today! But isn't she cute?

This evening mum and I wanted to do a small walkie around the lake before watching the game Denmark vs. Japan! Here you see me waiting on the stairs for mum to get ready. We had a nice walk in bright summer weather and when we came back to the parking lot we heard some desperate peeps. Mum looked around, I looked around and detected some very small baby mallards, only a few days old, in a gully, sort of large sink drain. It was not deep and nice and cozy inthere, like in a nest, but still too deep for the small ones to get out again. One was even fallen out of that and into the drain already. Probably they had also made a walkie with their mum and all chicks fell into the gully, all 5! It was hard to open the gully and mum needed help of some other people, they were finally lucky and had all babies out, at least we hope that those were all. Nearby is the small river and a pond with lots of mallards resting; the babies were carried over to them and they immediately found their mum and rushed with her into the water. Now I hope that the muskrats are not going to catch and eat them after they survived this adventure that ended lucky. I know they are around as I can smell them and mum has seen some, too.

Unfortunately mum had no camera to do a snap of the cuties, photo above though looks exactly like them....hope that they become large, sturdy, beautiful mallards! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh, I know, there has been a long silence, but we have been so busy and each evening mum just crashed into bed without wanting to blog for me! We had some very nice days in the meantime; mum said all work she had to do and all things she had to arrange went just fine - and she was really happy about that. Inbetween all this work we made long walks and have been to the big dog run again, too. There I made many new friends; Bubi was my favourite. He once was on the dangerous dogs list, but ever since he has a new dad, all is fine again. By the way, his name means: cute little lad!

I also visit dad about 1 or 2 times per week. He is back to work still and tries to ignore his cancer as good as possible. He is very active and feels quite good. Also his fur is growing again. Now we all hope that the next CT will turn out fine, too; that will be on July 5 - wish us luck!

By the way, mum is on Facebook now - she don't understands how it really works yet........urgh! •★

Third ♥ Barkday

Yes, today is the day! It is my third Barkday♥....and Hexe turned 5 years! ♥Even my human auntie has her birthday today....so many things to celebrate! Mum got me some green tripe. She drove extra all the way to the petshop, to the big one in the next city. We have a pet- and greenshop across the street, but they don't sell it. I am not a good eater; mum got me moose meat from Sweden and - I ignored it! She was furious; can you imagine!!!? Now mum hopes that I will take the tripe as this is usually my fave dinner........unfortunately dad had sudden pain in his jaw and even an op was necessary. He feels quite good in general and chemo will be off untill July, but this jaw and teeth infection does not come convenient. I hope so much he will be better again asap!

Today mum and I visited dad! Yesterday and today was nice, warm and sunny weather, so we sat on the balcony to enjoy it. As dad lost all his fur because of his chemo, he has to wear a cloth on his head; he is not allowed to have too much sun! Tomorrow I will visit him again, although we expect bad weather. It will be another free day as we celebrate Pentecost here and this means: holidays!!!!

Today I am wishing you all a very nice weekend from in front of the now blooming colza fields. Our area is famous for them. If weather would be better, they would be much more yellow and much more blossoms would appear. As I stood by this field, I could hear the humming of millions of bees visiting the blossoms. Colza Honey is very popular here....but is is still sooooo cold here, the coldest May ever, I think. We are having the socalled Ice Saints! Who are they?

In German-speaking countries: according to popular belief a period in May with increased likelihood of night frost falling on the feast days of certain saints thus jointly nicknamed 'Frost Saints'

I know it's been ages since mum made a new post for my blog; my paws are too big, otherwise I would write myself.....see what happend: dear Maxmom ♥ and Maxdog ♥ wrote us a postcard from Johannesburg! (I have no idea where this is, but mum said it's very far away in Africa; they have Fall there now, but they have the same time as we)! Mum was very delighted and happy and she always tells me that Maxdog is very sick and that she is glad that he is still doing quite fine and that he remembers her so much of Fritz, the doggy before me...we thank Maxmom very much for writing to us! I will treasure this pretty card and think of you all while I will be watching the soccer WM soon that is held in South Africa, too!!!! My dad got his CT result yesterday and the doc was glad to tell him that his cancer stopped growing. He is doing very well and is back to work now! All his fur is almost gone and he is often tired and pale, but he is doing real good.

I got some more things: Dear Ina ♥ of Alaska sent me this photo with an Alaskan car sign showing my name! Isn't that funny and lovely of her?!!! Thanx so much sweet Ina - I send my tailwags to the pack, too!

Mum has a lot of doggy and kitty stuff she sells. This beautiful collar was one of the pieces. It is full leather and handmade and mum decided that I should have it for my upcoming birthday, I tried it and it fits me perfect. So I have a real grown-dog-collar now. I will turn 3 years soon! Tomorrow is an off day here and we will have a relaxing day; only the weather could be better as it is all dark and rainy and windy and cold; not very much like May - all the trees and flowers are blooming though..... ~ ♥ ~

Usually Susie comes around every evening for a small hug. I love her so much, I could eat her up! Here we just meet somewhere on the street and we had to stay on leash...recently Susie was in a hotel for 10 days as her mum had to go back to her old home in Thuringia to get things, but now she is back and I am happy.....all furries and 2-leggers have a lovely weekend!

We had really nice weather recently; here you can see me walking in the sun. You can see my shadow and - a new leash! Mum likes it a lot. I think its too girlish as it is rosered or dark dusty pink or whatever you want to call it. But it is long and full heavy leather. It is sure nice, but not my colour; only mum's love such......mum got a whole bunch of nice new collars and leads! She makes photos and sells them, above you see one and me sniffing at it; it is too small for me...! She said, they are lovely and cheap!

We have been to the dog park again - the one and only in our fave forest! Nobuddy there, but I discovered a new hole. Some doggies are really professionals in digging. This hole goes almost to Australia; I can completely disappear in it, turn and go out again upright... •●•●•●

A bit of Spring...

Mum had lots to do recently! Last Sunday she had to work on a Spring Market. It was beautiful there, but weather was very bad, so not that much to do. When we arrived this tom greeted us. Mum was all oooh and aahhh, she petted him and even carried him around. His name is Carlo and he lives in this manor. The other funny guys were visitors with their humans.... ✿✿✿✿✿

Yesterday weather was better, a little sun, but cool breeze. In the forest we saw lots of toads maling. I sniffed at some. Mum said the guys are smaller then the girls. Sometimes the girls have to suffer as there are often quite a few obstinate suitors hanging on her back and almost strangle her... it is definitely Spring here now! ✿✿✿✿

I am flat today! Mum discovered accidently a dog run in another forest, which is twice as large as the one we usually go to and it is not too far away from home. I met maaaany new friends and had a good run! Also I met Susie twice today. So you probably can imagine how torn I am tonite?! But I feel so good.... ✿✿✿

Finally Spring here.... so lovely! First flowers are out and it was 22°C today!

Just a little cat! Mum thanks her for the Love she gave in almost 20 years that they could spend together....I never met Olly though; I was born two months after her crossing...
It is now almost 3 years ago that mum helped her to cross the Rainbow Bridge when her little body was torn and weak, but after having a happy long lifetime. It took her only about a minute to cross and it was a relief for her.
After being an indoor cat, she started travelling in the high age of 16. Travelling on and off the long way to Norway. In Norway she made small tours around the house, enjoyed napping in front of the fireplace and enjoyed life in general... RIP

Spring*Break

Mum still follows the Iditarod, although Lance won already and again! She is crazy about it and she wants to go there next year and leave me alone at home....this guy above we met in front of the post office. He was so tall; taller then me! His dad said he is not a pure bred Husky, but has a little Berner, too, although not visible eycept for his size. He was very friendly and fell around mum's neck; he was as tall as her. I was in the car and was furious...........

Here you can see mum preparing the sled! This was not in Alaska, but in Norway! It was -30°C mum said and I can't believe it. It was very cold here last winter, but not that cold.....this was also a long time ago, long before I was born!

Spring is here since yesterday! Dad was back in hospital yesterday and so he is today, so mum and I were off to do some field work! It was good to be back in the warming sun! We stopped here and made a walkie! This is not a beach, but inland dunes. I look a little odd as I wanted to run and run and run; in this area running is perfect, but I was just allowed when we met some other dogs; otherwise there was too much game around.....urgh! Woffsen!!

Winter is slowly fading away here! We had some sun this passed week and snow melted away; today it is all gray and nasty again. Not worth to show pix of this day...but I hope that you all have a perfect Sunday!?

Mum follows the Iditarod in Alaska via webcam and online in general! She is crazy, says that Huskies are the most beautiful dogs and that she badly wants to go there - and what about me?!!? Am I not pretty? She has been so often over in America, but never made it to the very North! But not all is lovely, great and beautiful in Alaska. One blog mum follows there placed the iron trapped lynx and was proud of it! Mum wrote this comment:

If you want a kitty why don't you just shoot one? Iron trapping is history and not necessary nowadays; it is pure torture to a mammal. A beautiful animal suffers for trivial items to be made out of its fur...!
Always loved your blog and read it, but this is sort of heartbreaking!

I slowly start loosing my winter coat now. You can see above how slim I am, but I indeed have a heavy white thick layer of undercoat. I was never cold this long and hard winter...

Rainy Day News ♥|♡|♥

Today we made a walk in heavy rain! The snow is slowly, very slowly melting! We met Molly and her mum (in front); they live on a farm. Molly is as old as me and has one hanging ear and one lies across her head. Molly's mum is already very old. We got soaking wet!

This is a map from last Friday as there was an earthquake at the Danish westcoast; a quite strong one. A very unusual area for earthquakes! We don't live far from that, but we didn't notice anything of it here. Nobody was hurt as far as I know, but houses were shaking. We are very often in Denmark, but we have never heard of such a big earthquake there before...

This is me and Hexe av Skien this morning; me waiting for mum to get ready for a walkie! She is always very slow.....urgh! Has to put on masses of clothes, boots etc. - I am always ready! Woffsen!

Today mum and I visited dad! I was also in his atelier; you know dad is a painter and now that he is so sick he has lots of time to do many paintings. Later we drove to doggy park. There was only one huge Rottweiler and a funny poodle, but they left short after our arrival. As you can see it started to snow heavy again - mum is really fed up with it now! We were almost getting in trouble on the forest road when driving home, because of the masses of snow. Mum discovered that the white tip of my tail was green and purple from dad's paint! I think that looks funny, eh?!!?

Today was another lovely sunny day! But for the coming night they announced new snow. I like it, mum not - although it looks so beautiful! It was very very cold and clear today and last night. We saw this bird of prey by the way while we walked the forestpath. He was very slow; I think it is hard for him to find food these days, I have a full belly with ostrich meat and potatoes today. Hello again! Today was a lovely sunny day, too. Mum and I were first doing some business and then we were in the forest. I did not meet any friends - unfortunately! It was very cold and clear and we made a long walkie. I met some mallards; I wonder how they find their food now. They came begging for some, but we had nothing. I don't chase mallards; sheep and game is more of interest to me....tomorrow morning dad will have his second chemo and I hope he will be better afterwards! Today was a perfect Monday: it was a bright, sunny, cold, freshaired winter's day, I met dad and played a little with him and I met Toby and Lilly, two Berner friends and another Lilly I could run with, a sweet chock Lab!

Dad was doing quite fine, although he was exhausted after a little run-game with me. I was soooo happy to see him again! Wednesday he will get his second chemo and then he will be too tired to play, I suppose. Mum and dad get along well now, although it makes me sad that they are no couple anymore....hope you had such a fantastic day, too!?!! I am completely tired now and have to see my cushions...so long!

This morning mum went shopping and left me alone with my breakfast! In fact she just was across the street to get me my dinner for the weekend! We have a pet shop right across the street, yes!!! It is more a Green Shop as they sell also garden tools and such things, but they have lots for dogs and horses. I dislike to be alone; I feel really desparate, although it is not that dramatic after all...do you like to be alone at home?!! At least she was back in a few minutes and had an arm full with goodies - just for me........all furries have a lovely weekend!

Yesterday I wanted to visit dad, but he was too tired to play with me. I am really sad that dad is so sick. On our way to visit dad in hospital we made a stop at doggy park! At the same time we arrived from this side, Ole arrived from that side! He is my best buddy there, so we were very lucky and played like puppies. Ole is too fat though, but he tries to run with me. It was very cold today, about -8°C, but we didn't care. We played wild for some time, then we had to go. I was not allowed in hospital. I had to stay in the car. Dad got his stent today and he was not well, mum said....this makes me sad!

Sunny Day...

Today was the first sunny day in 2010, so mum and I made a long walkie! It was lovely! We met 3 Ridgebacks I could run with. Then I had to sit here while mum took photos; she is always making photos of the many ancient sites we have around. You can see the large Bronce Age Barrow in the background. She puts them into Google Earth.....dad was quite fine today with two of his grown kids visiting him. Tomorrow he will get info about the way he will get his radiochemo; I hope the docs will start it off soon so that he will be healthy again asap....

The snow was glittering in the sun today and I like to stick my complete head into it....

Yesterday I met dad! It was good to see him. It was hard for him to eat. And I hope that his radiochemo will be successful and we can play again soon! We are all very worried! Hard times ahead for all of us! It snows and snows, only small flakes, but winter will not let go...we will go out for a walkie soon! Here you can see Hexe and me waiting for our dinner! End of the Trail?

Dear Friends! Although mum and dad split up they still meet and phone, also because of me. Dad was not very kind to mum; humans are sometimes really crazy...last Tuesday dad was diagnoised with an esophaguscarcinom (cancer in his gullet); we all can't believe it. I am sad! And I heard people say when you get problems it is already quite late. He will get chemo from early next week. I will visit him tomorrow.
Here is a new pic of me after coming home from dogpark. It was a good day, although I ran around alone for some time, but I found a brandnew ball in the snow and later Ole arrived. He is a fat Berner-Podenco-Border-Labby, but I made him run!!!! We had a veeeery good time. Mum forgot to take pix of us....

This is me on the roofgarden waiting for the announced storm to arrive! Mum and I went for a walk round the lake this afternoon. We never thought we would meet anybody in this nasty weather, but we did. Many doggies and quite a few I could run with! And quite a few people taking a walk as if weather was the best ever...sometimes really strange things happen....I don't mind the storm; it is full upon us now. We have just been out for a last walkie. You can see our local time on this storm display! The entire country was hit by the storm called Daisy! I think tomorrow morning we will have a snow bank in front of the door...

Hei Buddies, this is me in my favourite corner and this is the way a satisfied dog looks like.... it is a real winter we experiencing this time. Now it is below -10°C, but the sun shines and we will go for a walkie soon. It is hard to drive as it is very icy on the roads. Probbly this is the calm before the storm as for the days to come we expect loads of snow nd storm.....mum feeds the birds from our roof garden sure they love all the goodies she presents. We have many chickadees, sparrows, lovely bullfinches, blackbirds and pigeons and......licks and tailwags from Gizmo!

Hello efurribuddy! Today mum and I have been to Doggy Park. On this pix you can see how lovely and big it is! So far the snow passed us by, but it was very cold. Every place around it snowed a lot! I hope we will get a little here, too, as I love snow - like almost all dogs! Instead I met a new girlfriend: Jule. She loves to run just like me and we also did a little digging. Jule looks a bit like a Spanish Podenco, but she is smaller. She is also a rescued dog! Jule is only 9 months of age! I hope I will meet her again!!!

Today was a lovely sunny, but icecold day and although mum has loads to do, we made a long walk. When we drove back home, this guy was in our way again! He wouldn't move, so we had to drive around him. Mum said, he is cool....and what am I?!!!

Hello doggies and 2-leggers! Mum and I have been in the forest today after our car was off to a small repair (yes, already....remember, we have a new (old) car only since a few days). Mum was annoyed, but all went well and she hopes all will remain fine. I did not meet any buddies today, but we made a long walk and that was ok for me, too! The snow is gone, instead it is bone-chilling cold again!

When we drove back home we had this guy in front of the car. He lives on a horse farm in a very quiet area. He is a nice fellow and he didn't want to move. He was not aggressive, just curious....isn't he beautiful? He is as big as me!

Hei furries! Hope you are all well? We are busy these days! Mum and I have been away working on an exhibition. It was on a beautiful manor and we will go back next weekend. Loads of new things to sniff there....

This is not Susie, but another lovely LabLady of only 18 months I had a good run with. I showed her how fast I am... and we also saw this Tipi on a walk; I know them from Norway, there the people call them Lavvo!

I know, I know....I am very late with posting, but time just flyes by and mum works a lot. I have to be patient. Here you can see me with some friends; besides I am always intrested in game tracks. Mum dislikes it, but I try to tell her that this is doglike, all doggies love to sniff after game.....don't we!??!

Mum had lots to do today and it was veeeeery stormy and wet. We drove around a lot and mum did her job. Inbetween we stopped at the dog park in the forest. Here you see me running around, hoping for some friends to appear, but none approached in this awful weather. We got all soaked from the heavy rain and the storm raging over us, but I could sniff around and run a little, so this was fun, too! We have been there yesterday as well and although it was also a gloomy day I met 4 friends. One had an accident, while chasing me she was slipping on the wet leaves and crashed into a trunk. She screamed and it was obviously very painful, but only for a moment.....otherwise we had a good run and it was a good day for me! On our way back home we saw this late calf being born. It was all wet and bloody standing right up in the gray, harsh weather. But it was sturdy and healthy and its mum was caring good for it! Tailwags and Licks from me...

* Moose Encounter *

Recently mum was only caring fo her blog and neglected mine.....puh! But I can't type on her small laptop so I have to be patient untill she has time for me...! Did I ever tell you that when I was exactly 1 year old in May 08 and we were living still in Norway, that I had a very special meeting?! Right across the street was a beautiful path up the mountain. We often used it, so this lovely morning in May, too. I was strolling thru the bushes, smelling all this beautiful game around when I suddenly stopped. Just few Meters off the way was a large moose cow resting in the sun. She was huge! I had never seen one so close, I approached to her and we were finally nose to nose. She was very selfconfident and slowly stood up; obviously I had interrupted her beauty sleep and I was slowly going on her nervs as I was very curious to sniff more around her. Mum observed us and was happy that the moose was still without calf, otherwise this could have been very dangerous! Mum had no camera with this morning, so no pix of this encounter...sigh! Just a pic of a moose in winter to give you an idea! We had many moose around our home in Norway. Here in Germany they are all gone. Just a very, very few come over from the East now that the borders are gone, same with wolves...a young male was run over on the motorway last year.

~ Gray Days ~

Mum and I go out every day, even when it is very dark, windy and wet all day. Sometimes I meet friends, sometimes not. Above you see me with this pretty girl. I don't know her name, but I sometimes meet her with her 2-legged brother. She is a very good girl, always friendly and happy. Though she dislikes it when I am too wild.

This is not a too often sight, mum told me. I don't know what this was, that we met today. This pink thing ignored us and moved slowly. I sometimes smell something similar in the woods (Wild Boars). Mum said this is a piggy! Usually they are inside, some hold sterile untill they meet the butcher...mum said also, that they are very clever and handsome, but many of them lead an awful life. Not this one, this is a happy pink pig! Y

It's been some time since my last post! Mum was busy and my paws are too big to write myself! We've been out in the deep forests the past few days. Two days ago we met Merlin and Katinka, two Pyrenees I like a lot. They are bigger then me, but they are gentle giants. They both have very sturdy and nice mums; we walked together for some time. I tried to tease Merlin to run with me, but he is not fast. Above you can see the two going home while we proceeded with our walk....

today weather was so bad that we didn't expect to meet somebuddies at all. Mum was without camera because of the heavy rain. Deep in the forest we met a man with two even bigger dogs: two Irish Wolfhounds. I was thrilled; they were twice my size, at least the black one. The young gray one , also a Merlin, wanted to run with me. That was fun! When we came home Susie passed by our door and we had a little game, so I had a good day...despite of all the grayness.... Y

Yesterday in the early eve mum and I wanted to go out, but just on the side of the mainroad I discovered a baby hedgehog. Just by the way from the railway station were all the people hurried home from work. Mum almost steped on it, too. It is so small; only a few centimeters. I showed mum that it was sitting there and she took it up an brought it home. It was already very cold outside and mum made a box ready, but the little urchin escaped as it was very vivid. She found it and had it back in the box, but it was not secure there. Hedgehogs are active in the dark, so mum decided to have it in the shower tub over night. She put lots of nice things into our tub, like newspapers, leaves, a hamsterhouse, a towel and food, catfood. The tiny urchin enjoyed also some small shrimps. Mum looked into the internet as she wasn't sure how to handle those young ones. She only knows it with grown, but it is not really different. It was also written that big temp differences are not good for urchins. Our bathroom was cold all day, maybe too cold for this small one, although it was wrapped in newspapers and leaves...

This evening we finally got a place for it in an urchin shelter and the lady said that its condition is not good. She had it in a warming bed and mum was surprised - and sad! If I had not noticed it, it would have died last night out as it was very frosty. And now the little one may die anyway, although it was at home with us. Mum wanted to do all things right for it and maybe all was in vain......urchins are protected animals overhere. Babies with a weight above 100 gr. normally survive easy outside, but it was very frosty last night, very early this Fall. Our hedgehog had only 125 gr. ! Mum constantly thinks of it and is sad, but she would never had the idea to put it in a very warm place as it is a wild animal - I saved this little life and mum maybe spoiled it all. I don't think she will sleep good this night! Hedgehogs get run over on the roads by millions here; that's why they are protected...

My mum was very cross with me the passed days; she even called me mean and I had to stay on the leash all the time. Reason is I am protective when I play with my loved ones, like Susie! I found a little boy of about 8 or 9 too close and therefore dangerous and I raged onto him, chased him over the railtracks and made him very frightened. I am not very fond of kids anyway; they often tease and hoax me...

Mum is not doing too good still, so we often went the quiet paths in the forest, like above, a very enchanting way, although the trees were once planted as they all grow in a row at most places. Still it was wild somehow and mum enjoyed this walk a lot.

The past two days we met the Beardy and Briard Gang! That was fun! I know them since I was small. They are not all on this pic, there are a few more... have a nice weekend!

There has been a long silence! Mum was not well and I could not force her to write and as my paws are too big...I had to wait! We had a lovely weekend weatherwise and now on Monday it is all gray and nasty. We strolled the forests and as you can see hundreds of toadstools are out. Mum thinks they are pretty. She even made Toadstool Boxes that you can admire in her blog at http://www.bea-nype.blogspot.com! I don't understand this hype! Busy Day!

Today mum had lots to do! While we were in Hamburg we made a walk in the forest, yes, near the airport there is quite a big forest and there is also a big herd game living there - secured, fenced in. I have never seen those game before. The game we have here in the wilder forests out of town don't have so big antlers.

Mum likes art! So I had to watch some, too. We dogs rather like to sniff at the sculptures; they are ideal marking posts.

Finally we had Hexe to the vet. She was not amused. Fortunately she likes to drive in the car. She has much too dry skin, no fleas or other stuff in her coat. All this scratching caused an allergic reaction. She had an injection that should ease her skin and tomorrow mum shall buy her Silicea and continue the medication homäopathic. So she shall have relief real soon!

Yesterday was a beautiful day. I visited Bosse and we played wild. He is my very best buddy and I would kill to protect him. We had the entire backyard to play while our mums sat on the veranda. I am confused as I am not used to closed doors. Can you see how Bosse admires me?

Hei Furries out there! I hope you had a fantastic weekend, mine was ok, although we had ever so much rain and sometimes it was impossible to go out! Here you can see me watching the mallards on the lake; I like to do that...

When we are in the forest we now see those big spiders everywhere weaving their large nets. They will even get bigger untill late October. The webs get sometimes in mum's and my face and this is sticky and not very nice. This spider though protects a home and is really pretty and useful....Love to all of you! ♥

I met Scotty, but we were not allowed to play as we would have probably destroyed the entire booth of his family...mum bought several old, pretty glass plates and animals, old books and we could have even bought an entire house. Yesterday and today were nasty strom-and-rain-days, but I was fortunate and met Leo at the parking lot of our local swimming pool, so we had a little game! It was fun as usual when I meet him; he is definitely a great buddy! Fall Arrived ~❃~ ~❃~

Yesterday was still a warm Summerday and today it suddenly smells of Fall, a little foggy in the morning, the crows scream and fruits are ripe and rich everywhere. I also eat a lot! What is unusual to me as I am not a good eater normally, but probably instinct tells me that we will get a hard winter and I have to put on some extra pounds...mum and I have been in the Blueberries again and you can see I had my share; my legs and feet are spotted with violet deco. The berries have a very intensive colour now and they are overripe. Soon they will be gone...~❃~ you can also see all the leaves that are around my feet already ...~❃~

This is Molly and me. She lives a little further down the road on a farm with her biological mum! She is very cute. Mum is into arts and always tries something new, so she made this photo look a little different. Hope you like it?! Nothing special though, but I think we look cool....

This is my new buddy Rasmus! We met already before, but then he was with his girlfriend Amy, who I thought is my girlfriend, so we were quite in a macho competition although we liked one another. I wanted to protect Amy as my Kangal heritage tells me, but I kinda liked to play with Rasmus either, so I was in quite a conflict....today though we had a good run and played rough boy games; that was a lot of fun. It was very hot and sultry, but we didn't mind, we just had fun!

Rasmus is a Münsterländer of 2 years, who will do his hunting exams in about two weeks. ☺

Hei Furries, I have been in Denmark and that was great! Have been there many times before, but not in this part. It was lovely; much news to sniff about. Dad has a meeting at Danfoss Universe and mum did a bit of translation....yes, I know what you say, they are actually split, but somehow they hang constantly out together...good for me, so I have them both and we do many nice things together. We don't live far from the border to Denmark and that means Scandinavia in general! We all love it there; it has a special athmosphere and the people are much more friendly and not that cool and strict as in Germany. I wish we would go more often upthere again. We have been at the beach, too, but unfortunately I did meet no buddies to play with. But I love to stroll in cities, too, so many intresting new smells, you won't believe it. And the 2-leggers also see many nice things, f.ex. the pretty little houses...

I met a whole gang Pugs including this most adorable puppy Pug! We were all sniffing around and I cooled my feet in the nearby lake. The Pugs didn't come with me into the water. But we still had a good time. Mum was glad that I found not so wild company; she hurt her left hand yesterday - in my leash - believe it or not! We had to see two Docs today, but it's nothing serious...

Yesterday when we drove to pick Blueberries we accidently met Leo and Casey and their mums. They didn't know the Blueberry Place, so they followed us! And it ended in BIG FUN!
Leo is one of my very best buddies; he is only a few days younger then me and we know us since we were very small.

Whilst our mums were picking we played and were very giddy! Casey is always very equitable and she picked almost as many Blueberries as her mum, only she ate them all....

we tomfoolish boys finally ran into the moor. Our mums got crazy, but we were alright. Leo loved the mud and I suppose you can guess how we finally looked like!

Finally we ended up picking us some berries, too! I guess all dogs love snow, icecream and Blueberries! Our mums were happy, that we were so happy and they were so glad about their big harvest, too. What a lovely Day! • • • • • • •

Susie and I have a run very early each morning, because we all love early mornings! It is nice cool and fresh. Later today it was incredibly hot. We are not used to it! Actually we live in the North! We wait for rain and thunderstorms now in the evening... ☀

Mum and I had to walk a little round in town earlier this evening. We met Chester-of-the-fence, a large, kind, Polish Jack Russell or something.

☀ Just Summer

It is a very hot Summer day today, not sultry or muggy, just nice and warm. Even mum enjoys it. Recently we have been to this lake, which is actually an active sandpit. It is lovely to cool down, but since recently dogs are not wanted anymore. And since last Sunday swimming and fun for humans is prohibited as well: a young Polish man died while swimming to the island in the middle. It was a big story here! Actually it is not a dangerous place...
to enjoy yourself is not an easy story in Germany....sigh! Only the swans and other waterbirds are still allowed to be around....I always loved to be there and run on the large sand area bigger than any beach!

This is my little Hexe! Isn't she cute? Waiting for crabs, I suppose...she loves to eat them!

Early this morning, at 6.30, I met Susie and we had a good run! Air was fresh and mum also loves it when it is not crowded and loud and busy and it slightly smells of Fall....
see the photo of me above, resting on our roof garden and do you see the yellowish stain right by the door! This was the only thing I ruined - so far! I am not intending do ruin more, the older I get, the less I will do - I am already a big boy now! But then the wallpapers were so intresting and tasty, you know, they have small wooden pieces in this paper and that was fun to chew them out.....

As Time goes by.....

Today is a beautiful Summer Day and we have just been in the forest! So far, so good! We met a lady we know already since long. She has to two dogs: one shorthaired Collie and a large Pyrenees Mountain Dog Y. I usually play with both although they are very old...today she was with one doggy only....my run-around buddy the Collie just had to go over the Rainbow Bridge; he was 14 years old and I know this is very old. Their mum was very, very sad and the rest of the walk wasn't fun! Sunday's there are too many people in the woods. They are loud and leave their garbage, are unfriendly and have crazy dogs that I don't really like; people and dogs that are used to live in big cities. Finally mum and I took some photos. Here you see me on an ancient Bronce Age Barrow. We have many of them around and mum is very intrested in this time. Those places are still in good condition, although they are about 4000 years old! Sometimes they are deep in the forest; I like to stroll around there...many tracks to sniff about. Most people don't know about this and just run over it, sometimes even with cars or motorbikes. Mum puts the pix in Google Earth so you all can see them....

Today was a perfect day: it was warm and sunny, but not hot, and we had a nice breeze and accidently I met some friends I had not seen in ages! That was fun games with a good splash into the creek; really a perfect day ♥ ♣ ♠ ♦

Although it has been so very hot the past days and Summer is definitely at its climax, mum produces hats!!! Crazy Humans!!! But she loves to wear them, too....who will ever understand....this is her with Hexe. When it is so hot Hexe is on mum's glass desk, hoping to cool down a little...❀❋☀

This is Hexe and me; poor thingy, has to wear an even heavier coat then me! Although I have very short har I do have a white undercoat as well: beautiful short soft angoralike hair. I don't need it right now! I think this is still from my ancestors who lived in Anatolias mountains, there its is cold and hot.....have a lovely new week! ☀

This is Bosse and me! We are VERY best buddies! Bosse is named after a character of Astrid Lindgren, like all dogs that were in his family before; his mum loooooves Astrid Lindgren's stories Y

Bosse is a PON! He was born in Berlin! Both our families lost their former doggies at the same time, so we know us from the first week we were in our new homes. Bosse is a few days younger then me, so whenever somebody wants to harm him I feel responsible and get angry...

On our walks we often see cows, like this young ones! Mum says cows are beautiful, more then horses. We live in a land of Horses and Cows..... Y

This is my friend Gina! She is a real Sivas Kangal; she is huuuuuge and from Turkey; the national dog of Turkey...I feel small next to her! Unfortunately I havn't seen her for awhile.
